I remembered a Veteran today !

As you celebrate Memorial Day today, please remember it's real purpose. When you’re with your family today, please take a moment and remind them the sacrifice this day memorializes, and the young men and women who’ve given their all for us to be able to celebrate it. Too many of us get caught up in the day off and the BBQ's without realizing what this day symbolizes. In all of America’s wars, approximately 1.2 million Americans have paid the ultimate price. It is only fitting and proper that we honor that sacrifice and make it known to all our appreciation for what they fought for and have helped preserve.

 

I'll drink to that ..... Tempt Ciders

I stumbled across this intriguing Danish beverage. It's designed by DDB Denmark and the design is gorgeous. I'm not sure I would even care what these taste like as long as I could keep the can or bottle and reuse it as a vase or something else fun ! 

Obviously the designer and marketing department had the same idea since this is directly from their marketing campaign

The concept is build on the that cider keeps a secret. You can not smell or taste it but cider is an alchohol. You get tempted by the innocent look, the fruity smell and the refreshing taste. You are too couriuos to avoid a sip and suddenly it´s you that have a secret. Therefore the cider got the name Tempt.

Now I'm on a mission to find some for myself ! 

 

Building a Fairy Garden

 

If you build it, they will come ....

I've always wanted to build a fairy garden I could easily say it's for my 6 year old daughter but if I'm being honest I think I'm slightly enchanted by the idea myself.  This summer we plan on building a tiny fairy garden together. I've been pouring over pictures, ideas and making mental plans. 

What fairy would be able to pass up some of these enchanted gardens ?

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Movie Screening

My son and I were invited to a special Disney screening of the newest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. We were honored to get to see the movie 4 days before the general public. I am a huge Johnny Depp fan but after finally viewing the final pirates movie, At Worlds End I didn't have much hope for the 4th installment of this film. 

Both of us really enjoyed the movie. I felt like it was the best of all the sequels.  At just over 2 hours this is still the shortest of all the Pirates movies. It still seems to move at a quick pace and you won't find yourself bored like in the other sequels. The 3D adds a fun appeal for many of the action scenes. 

Overall we really enjoyed this movie and recommend it all the Pirates fans out there.
